We have written our own ecommerce package as a result.

We value security to the point of paranoia.

Our ecom package provides three ways to process credit cards:

1. Hand Processing - Website takes the information and stores it for you to process through a terminal. This is best for expensive items.
2. Batch Processing - Website takes the information and processes the orders in batch, all at the same time. This is best for lots of small orders.
3. Real-time Processing - Website takes the information and sends the customer to a third-party processor to 'run' the card through the banking system. This is best for systems that deliver the product immediately over the Web, such as eBooks.
