William Heymann - Lead Programmer

William Heymann joined to lead the R&D. Bill had been a member of the ITS Advisers and BugBuster programs at CU Boulder. He distinguished himself there as the most knowledgeable technician on both teams. In fact, when other techs in the field got stuck they would turn to Bill for the answer.

His work as a guiding member of the OpenSource project, World Forge, introduced him to the advantages of large-scale teamwork in programming. World Forge is a project to build a 3-D immersive environment .

Bill attended the O'dea prep school in Seattle, graduating third in his class. He then went on to study physics at CU Boulder for three and a half years before joining WME. Bill's depth of knowledge in computers and the Internet is crucial to the path WME takes as information technology, IT, evolves.

Bill is WME's ambassador into a powerful information system. OpenSource is a community of developers who communicate daily and hourly to help each other program their projects. They do this via an early network called IRC, Internet relay chat, that is somewhat similar to the modern Instant Messenging. It not only provides access to help in programming, it also keeps the community informed of news and developments in technology long before the press discover the information. This allows WME to stay ahead of the curve in Internet application development.

It's good to have a website with lots of content (smile).

I recently formalized an agreement with XXX in Denver to do some naming (a $10k project) that came entirely from my Web presence. The website we created continues to yield new prospects and projects. Thanks!
